The FrielingBall is a modern social ball.

All locations of Tanzschule Frieling celebrate this event at the Maritim Hotel at Düsseldorf Airport. In addition to the classic ballroom with live music, there is a strolling area, a student disco and an active dance floor. The young people celebrate their official entry into social life. To the applause of the parents and ball visitors, the debutants make their ceremonial entrance.

Traditionally, the ball bouquet is handed over to the dance partner.

Even if the impression sometimes arises within the family that the parents "don't need to come along" - the opposite is the case! We design the program explicitly for parents and family members.

This is a unique experience as your child grows up! We offer a varied program so that even those who don't like to dance will enjoy the evening.

A highlight of the evening is the "thank you dance",
where mothers dance with their sons and fathers with their daughters. We are aware that family situations are diverse. We therefore invite all accompanying persons to create this special moment - be it with a parent, relative or a loved one. It is about expressing appreciation and gratitude, regardless of the family constellation.

Due to the high demand, there will be two separate Frieling Balls. Friday, 27.06. only for the students who attend their dance course in Neuss or Benrath or Erkrath. Saturday, 28.06. for all young people who dance in Düsseldorf-City or Kaiserswerth.

The festive ball: Admission 7:15 pm, start 8:00 pm, end 1:00 am

Dress rehearsal: Mandatory date for all debutants Thursday, 26.06. from 18:00 - 19:00 at the Maritim Hotel, please be there 20 minutes before, normal clothing, please bring ballroom shoes. Please park behind (!) the hotel / risk of being towed away

For space reasons, it is only possible to switch to the other ball date in exceptional cases and subject to reservation.

    After booking, you will receive a booking confirmation by e-mail. Please have this confirmation ready on the evening of the ball.

Welcome to the FrielingBall
The FrielingBall is an open society ball.
We are aimed at three target groups:

1) Debutants

Young ladies and gentlemen from the student courses celebrate their official entry into social life. Afterwards, things escalate violently.

2) Parents, relatives and friends

Whether you're a left-footed dancer or not, it will also be a great evening for non-dancers. An unforgettable family experience.

3) Hobby dancer

Live band, large dance floors and plenty of opportunity to dance yourself. What more could you want?

With three dance floors, there is something for everyone: in addition to the classic ballroom with live music, there is a strolling area, a party floor and an active dance floor with mini-workshops.

Ticket prices vary depending on the booking period. Booking early ensures you lower prices.

  • Experience has shown that the parking garage reaches its capacity limit at this event. So that you can enjoy a relaxed evening at the ball right from the start, plan some time for a possible search for a parking space or have someone drive you.

    The parking fee for the underground parking garage in the Maritim Hotel and the parking garage P8 opposite is 5.00 euros per hour. The maximum daily rate is 30.00 euros.

  • The Maritim Hotel offers three different dishes on request and with a binding advance order, served with baguette. Price per dish 25€.

    Please note:

    • No food can be purchased "spontaneously" on the evening of the ball. Exchanges are unfortunately excluded.

    • From 19.06. it is no longer possible to order food, as the Maritim Hotel needs sufficient lead time for logistics and planning to ensure the smooth running of the event.

  • Each ticket includes a selection of non-alcoholic drinks, which are available to you for the entire evening of the ball. Adults also have the option of purchasing beer, wine and sparkling wine à la carte - these are sold via consumption tickets via the Maritim Hotel directly at the entrance. Exchange possible at the end of the event. No table service.

  • For our debutants
    Festive evening wear
    Gentlemen: suit, tie/tuxedo
    Ladies: Dress, trouser suit, costume. Recommendation Change of shoes e.g. ballerinas

    For all other ball visitors
    Anything goes. Either suit/tie, tuxedo, or red carpet look, e.g. open shirt and jacket.

  • The young people can dance the whole evening with whoever they want and as often as they want! There are only fixed dance partners for the debutants' entrance and the preliminary dance round.

    The couple combinations are organized within the dance course approximately one month before the FrielingBall.

    Boys
    Due to the surplus of girls, there are two entries. Therefore, all boys receive a lady for the first and another lady for the second entry.

    Girls
    There are girls who prefer to dance with their best friend. No problem. Couples of girls are also welcome. External dance partners (e.g. brother or boyfriend) are also very welcome.

  • The girls receive a small bouquet of Biedermeier flowers from their dance partner. This gesture takes place on the dance floor during the entrance.

    In return, the girls also present their dance partner with a small gift, such as a "sweet bag". This handover takes place right at the beginning of the ball.

  • As the sale takes place online via a booking platform, subsequent change requests can only be made by this external service provider. The administrative costs will be charged at €50.00 per booking process. This fee ensures that your change request can be processed professionally and promptly. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Depending on the sale, we reserve the right to change the arrangement of the tables individually for organizational reasons. We guarantee you the best possible space.

  • Parents: To get some "match practice", we recommend taking part in the dance course
